Known today by the name Hessische Staatsweingüter GmbH Kloster Eberbach, the winery remains one of the biggest and most prominent producers in the Rheingau region. They own one of the largest cellars of matured German wines in the world - some of the bottles dating back more than 300 years. The Cabinetkeller, established in the 18th century, was specifically created for storing vinified rarities.
