A Fourth Growth estate in the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon has been under the ownership of Domaines Barons de Rothschild since 1962. The 76-hectare vineyard is planted on fine gravel and aeolian sand over a limestone subsoil. The grand vin blend typically contains a minimum of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance comprising Merlot. Vinification includes a maturation period averaging 14 months in oak barriques, 50% of which are new. Technical operations are overseen by the Lafite Rothschild team, with Eric Boissenot acting as consultant.
