2023 Alde Gott Granit Riesling (Weitblick)
Tasting note
Pale lemon yellow, green reflections. Still a little CO2, very young, which may fade with time. Quite a dark bouquet, but with a sweetish veil. Grape juice, apple, quince, dark berries. Very primarily fruity, preserved, almost perfumed. Also quite one-dimensionally fruity on the palate, sweetish, rather medium acidity. Grapefruit, grape juice again. Slightly bitter on the finish. Dissolves in the contour. The wine would benefit from more tension. Ambitious price point.
Drink through 2026.
