2015 Van Volxem Schiefer Riesling

Tasting note

Pale lemon yellow. Even this entry-level wine still looks great after ten years. Fresh and almost youthful. Some peach on the nose, plus green apple and white flowers. Still completely primary in appearance. I find the crisp, green apple again on the palate. Also some lemon. The intensity on the nose and palate is medium. The fresh acidity is cushioned by a lovely melting texture. Very good Saar Riesling at a friendly entry-level price. It can also be enjoyed matured, as this wine proves once again.

Drink through 2030.
