Aerated for three hours. Pale ruby red with a watery rim and streaks in the glass. The bouquet is intense, blending red berries, ripe cherries, and fragrant rose petals beneath smoky, tarry notes. Subtle hints of leather emerge on the nose. On the palate, the wine is intense, with well-integrated, high tannins and a high alcohol content that is barely perceptible. Pleasant acidity lifts the wine, highlighting red fruits — fleshy cherry, plum, and rosehip — with a touch of liquorice. Cherry and liquorice also define the long finish. Well-balanced. Very good.
