Medium purple with initial brick-red highlights on the rim. The medium-intensity bouquet is dark-fruited, displaying blackberry and stewed plum jam, alongside notes of malt and chocolate as well as tertiary hints of leather and earth. A fresh eucalyptus note provides a complex lift, though this is somewhat disrupted by a slightly off-balance lactic character. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with soft tannins and low-to-medium acidity. The fruit profile is juicy and slightly sweet. While presenting a velvety texture, the wine lacks depth overall and concludes with a relatively short finish, punctuated by an intrusive, creamy dairy note of milk chocolate.
Drink through 2028.
