Medium straw-yellow. The bouquet is lavish, displaying both primary and secondary characteristics: the fruit profile presents ripe citrus alongside tropical hints of soft pineapple and a touch of banana, rounded out by acacia blossom. Pleasant aromas of fine nut butter, marzipan, and a subtle touch of smoke bear witness to the oak maturation. Very subtly reductive (flint). Complex. On the palate, it is full-bodied and creamy with a beautiful texture, medium acidity, and medium alcohol. Quite intense. The palate mirrors the aromatic complexity of the nose: yellow-fruited and citric, yet buttery and nutty. The wine successfully strikes a balance between its lavish intensity and the necessary freshness to maintain drinkability. This is truly masterfully crafted. Finishes long with salted lemon, artichoke, and a discreet smoky note. Improved over two days, as the tropical fruit receded to reveal a more precise, elegant core of salted lemon, flint, and smoke. Excellent.
Drink through 2032.
