Pale lemon yellow. This is an aromatic wine. On the nose, passion fruit features prominently, but there are also delicate floral blossom aromas. Fresh and primarily fruity, with other aromas including grapes and lemon zest. Not knowing the exact composition of the assemblage, I went back and forth between Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer in my head. As it turned out, this is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat, which explains the strong aromatics of both passion fruit and blossoms. On the palate, the wine is slender-bodied with medium alcohol, a little extra freshness from CO2, and a balanced mix of fruit sweetness and acidity. Again fruity: Grapes, passion fruit, green apple. Medium in length and intensity. Not complex, but this is a good wine indeed. Beautiful label, by the way, showing the entrance of Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, Germany.
Drink through 2025.
