Description

100% Merlot. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats; 18-20 days skin contact. Ageing in French oak barriques (approx. one third new) for 18 months. First vintage officially certified organic.

Tuscany’s Val d'Arno di Sopra DOC (est. 2011) encompasses the Pietraviva and Pratomagno subzones. Bianco blends utilise 40–80% Chardonnay; Rosso/Rosato require 40–80% Merlot. Varietal wines necessitate at least 85% of the declared cultivar. Site-specific wines may use the Vigna designation. Key cultivars include Sangiovese, Cabernet, and Malvasia Bianca Lunga. Production includes dry, sparkling, late-harvest, and Passito styles.
