2009 Château Chasse-Spleen

Description

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (40% new). Not officially Cru Bourgeois (Exceptionnel), because Chasse-Spleen had opted out of the single-tier classification that replaced the annulled three-tier system for the 2008-2017 vintages. (The three-tier system was reinstated from the 2018 vintage onwards.)
