2016 Tolaini Picconero

Tasting note

Deep purple, subtly lightening. The bouquet leaps from the glass—intense and captivating. Blue-fruited and balsamic, it reveals elderberry jelly, grilled pork, and a pleasant animalism, alongside black olives and charred red peppers. The mouthfeel is equally impressive; tannins are rounded yet remain firm and drying. Complex dark berries and a touch of espresso define the palate, supported by ample structure for long-term ageing. The finish is persistent and juicy. Excellent.

Drink through 2033.
