Deep purple-lilac. So fragrant—a wine that compels you to pause. It commands immediate attention with immense presence, yet without being loud. Radiant dark fruit—blackcurrant, blueberry, and blackberry—complemented by floral, ethereal notes and delicate spice. On the palate, it is surprisingly grippy, with tannins that remain firm and highly astringent. Possessing significant backbone, it feels as though it is only just beginning to evolve. More elegant than the '23, it is soft yet beautifully balanced. Very deep and multi-layered, the dark fruit is fresh and succulent: black cherry, plum, and blackberry. Completely primary and unevolved, this is a great wine, seemingly built for eternity. World-class.
Drink through 2050.
