Deep purple in appearance, though a nuance paler and more radiant than the more extracted 2022 vintage. The nose is elegant and expressive, displaying a beautiful, somewhat cool-toned fruit profile of cherry, redcurrant, and cassis, underpinned by balsamic notes, menthol freshness, and pencil lead. Subtle floral hints contribute to an admirable sense of understated elegance. On the palate, the wine remains surprisingly astringent with significant structure and linear depth. The fruit is precise, again showing cherry and cassis alongside raspberry, supported by high acidity and excellent freshness. The finish is pleasantly supple and long. Excellent.
Drink through 2041.
